Every garden presents different construction challenges. We consider ground conditions, drainage, airflow, deck height, structural loading and access before deciding how the foundations and subframe should be built. This is particularly important for raised, split-level and waterside decking, where a standard construction method may simply not be suitable.
We have extensive experience designing and building decking beside rivers and in gardens prone to flooding. Where necessary, we can raise the structure above known flood levels and specify concrete foundations, galvanised steel supports, composite lumber or other moisture-resistant materials to protect the deck from prolonged exposure to damp and rising water.
This understanding allows us to solve complex site problems without compromising the finished design. From curved decks and integrated seating to steps, lighting, balustrades and screening, we create composite decking that belongs in its surroundings and is properly engineered to perform within them.
