Meet John Michael
John Michael brings more than 25 years of deck-building experience to every Deck & Design project, together with an extensive understanding of how different materials and construction systems perform over time.
His specialist knowledge has made him a multi-award-winning decking expert and a highly respected figure within the industry. It has also led to him being invited to help design a decking installation course for a leading composite manufacturer at the Landscape Academy, supporting the development of its approved installer scheme.
For the past five years, John has spoken openly about the need for higher standards across the decking industry. He is particularly passionate about improving education for both installers and homeowners, especially around composite materials, suitable subframes and the correct methods of installation.
That commitment is reflected throughout our work. John combines technical understanding with creativity and attention to detail, developing functional outdoor spaces that complement the property and suit the way our clients want to live.
His passion remains the same today as it was when he began: creating distinctive, high-quality outdoor spaces that are designed intelligently and built to last.
