We replaced a large raised softwood deck with a carefully detailed Composite Prime installation, combining two-tone boards, a herringbone feature, privacy fencing, contemporary railings and integrated lighting.
The existing raised softwood deck needed to be completely replaced. Due to planning requirements, the new installation had to follow the same shape and include privacy screening along both sides.
We retained the established footprint while rebuilding the deck with a more durable, lower-maintenance finish. Composite Prime HD fencing was installed on either side, providing privacy for both the clients and their neighbours while coordinating neatly with the new decking.
We used Composite Prime Redux boards in Cashmere for the main deck, finished with a contrasting Smoke picture-frame border. The two-tone design clearly defines the outer edges and steps while adding greater depth and detail to the installation.
In front of the patio doors, we incorporated a herringbone feature into the main decked area. This adds character and creates a strong focal point that can also be enjoyed from inside the home.
The front of the deck and the steps were secured with a stylish Fortitude railing system. We completed the project with lights fitted into the step risers and additional deck lights positioned between the front balustrade bays, creating soft and welcoming illumination for evening use.
