The client wanted to be able to walk directly from the garden onto a level deck and step comfortably into their swim spa. They also needed the spa to remain accessible from the lower decked area.
We created an upper deck around the swim spa, with steps connecting it to the lower level. The two-tier design makes excellent use of the available space while providing practical access from different parts of the garden.

We enclosed the side of the raised deck with a neatly finished decked wall, incorporating discreet and easily accessible doors. These allow the swim spa’s internal equipment to be reached for routine servicing and maintenance without dismantling any part of the decking.
The complete structure was finished using Trex Transcend composite decking in Island Mist, giving both levels a consistent, contemporary appearance and creating a practical new setting for the swim spa.
If you are considering replacing an old deck or creating a new outdoor living space, we can help. We design and build high-quality composite and timber decking throughout Surrey, South London and the surrounding areas.

Yes. We can design the deck at a height that provides comfortable access into the swim spa. The finished level must be planned carefully around the spa, its surrounding structure, drainage requirements and access points.
A two-tier design can connect different garden levels while providing more than one way to reach the swim spa. On this Warlingham project, the upper deck provided direct access from the garden, while steps connected it to the lower decked area.
We incorporate accessible doors or removable sections into the design wherever servicing may be required. Here, we built discreet doors into the decked wall, allowing engineers to reach the spa’s internal equipment without dismantling the surrounding deck.
Composite decking is a practical, low-maintenance choice for areas surrounding swim spas. Unlike traditional timber boards, it does not require regular staining or painting and will not rot or splinter. For this project, we used Trex Transcend decking in Island Mist.
