Meet John Michael
The expertise behind Deck & Design
John Michael is an award-winning garden designer and decking specialist, known for pushing the boundaries of outdoor design and landscaping. His career has taken him from Australia to the UK, and he was among the early pioneers of curved decking techniques.
In 2020, John’s work was recognised with the award for Best Trex Design at the prestigious Arbordeck Awards. Today, he continues to champion better building processes, higher industry standards and more imaginative approaches to creating outdoor spaces.

Why Composite?
Installing Composite Decking in Surrey
Composite decking offers an attractive, durable and low-maintenance alternative to traditional timber, but not all products are equal. Boards can cost from around £20 to more than £130 per length, with significant differences in their construction, finish, performance and warranty.
Choosing the right board is only part of the process.
